Vehicles we accept in Oregon

Cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, boats, RVs — running or not, clean title or complicated.

At Cascade Car Exchange, we believe that almost any vehicle, whether it's drivable or not, can make a difference in our Oregon communities. Every donation helps us connect neighbors with vital programs such as SNAP and the Oregon Health Plan. From cars that have seen better days to trucks that are still strong, your contribution can support those in need. We accept a wide variety of vehicles and ensure that each one is used in a way that benefits local residents. Join us in making a positive impact!

Categories we accept

Cars & Sedans
1995-present

Cars and sedans are generally auctioned off to the highest bidder, contributing funds to support essential community services. If they are not functional, they can be dismantled for parts or recycled responsibly.

In urban areas like Portland, older sedans are often seen as opportunities for families needing reliable transportation.

Pickup Trucks
1990-present

Pickup trucks are popular for work and recreation. Many are sold at auction, while others may be salvaged for parts, especially if they are no longer running.

In Oregon's rural regions, pickup trucks are invaluable for transportation and farm work, making their donation a significant help.

SUVs & Crossovers
2000-present

Many SUVs are auctioned, while some non-running models are recycled for their materials or parts, making them versatile contributors to our funding.

With Oregon's diverse terrain, SUVs are often used for family outings and adventures, making them dear to many local residents.

Motorcycles
1995-present

Motorcycles can be auctioned off to enthusiasts or dismantled for parts, depending on their condition, providing funds for local support programs.

Motorcycle donations are especially appreciated during the summer riding season, as they connect riders across Oregon's beautiful landscapes.

RVs & Campers
1990-present

RVs and campers often attract a niche market at auctions or can be sold for parts, supporting local families looking for outdoor adventures.

Oregon’s stunning national parks and campgrounds make RVs a popular choice, and donating them helps others explore our beautiful state.

Boats
1990-present

Boats can be auctioned or sold for parts, especially if they are older models, adding unique value to our funding efforts.

With Oregon's abundant lakes and rivers, boat donations help neighbors enjoy water activities while funding community services.

Commercial Vehicles
1995-present

Commercial vehicles are often sold at auction to businesses or can be dismantled for valuable parts, contributing significantly to our goals.

In urban areas, these vehicles help local businesses thrive and their donation supports fellow entrepreneurs across Oregon.

Non-running Vehicles
1990-present

Even non-running vehicles have value; they may be recycled, parted out, or auctioned as-is, ensuring all donations count towards our mission.

We see many older vehicles across Oregon that need a new purpose, and your donation can turn them into essential community support.

Condition guide

When considering donating your vehicle, it’s important to understand how the condition impacts its acceptance. Running vehicles are typically auctioned off or sold directly to buyers, maximizing fund generation. Non-running vehicles, while they might not be functional, are still accepted. They can be recycled for parts or materials, ensuring nothing goes to waste. Salvageable vehicles—those with damage beyond repair—still have value and can contribute to our efforts, albeit in different ways.

Vehicles with salvage titles may have undergone significant repairs and can still qualify for donation, depending on their condition. However, vehicles with extensive damage or those with a lienholder present require specific attention. If you have questions about a vehicle's eligibility, please reach out to us or check our guidelines for more clarity.
